North Devon Lodges at Forest Lakes
We acquired our Forest Lakes site in 1989 and Hartland Forest Golf Club in 1992. Forest Lakes is wild and natural and there are currently 10 individual lodges, each within their own plots, 9 with grounds of between half an acre to 14 acres. During these years we have been improving the infrastructure, enhancing the landscape with extensive tree planting (50,000 trees at Forest Lakes and approaching 12,000 trees at the Golf Club), constructing solid log and timber holiday homes of two to four bedrooms, 72-320 square meters each. We have built 62 new Finnish log lodges, 1 new cedar lodge and refurbished 29 ‘inherited’ red cedar lodges. We therefore have substantial experience with log and timber holiday lodges. Since 2001 across both sites we have built the new exceptionally high-quality log lodges, including two very large and architecturally stunning four bedroom lodges with stone pillars and huge stone feature chimney buttresses, a beautiful and very spacious red cedar two bedroom lodge and this year a stunning and exceptionally spacious two bedroom eco Finnish log lodge. Our construction is carried out by specialist master carpenters and our teams of professional local electrical, plumbing, etc., specialists. We manage and closely monitor every stage of the lodge build so our clients can be assured of the very highest standards and quality. Our clients are invariably delighted with their holiday lodge.
